CLASSES ARE FREE (Mandated Classes)

We offer seven levels of instruction from orientation to advanced in English as a Second Language Program. All classes include accent reduction. Our ESL classes help students develop important English language skills needed to communicate. We have caring, experienced and dedicated teachers who teach English in a friendly and safe learning environment. Classes are offered on the Edison Center and Redondo Center campuses.

No residency requirements. No documents needed. No fees.

Are you too busy to attend class every day, but you want to learn English?
Now you can check out distance learning packets to help improve your pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Packets contain a video, DVD or CD, book, practice exercise with answer key and test to check your progress.  A $20 refundable deposit is required for borrowing materials.

Learn English as you prepare to become a U.S. citizen. Study U.S. history and government and learn what you need to pass the citizenship exam. Practice the oral interview and receive help with the application.
Jackie Memberto-Kelly, M.A., has taught ESL classes for 7 years.

Rebecca Dyer, M.A., is an ESL teacher who coordinates CASAS testing and Distance Learning for SBAS.
