Students are expected to study a minimum of 5 hours per week online. In addition, students will attend the GED Preparation Lab on-site at the SBAS campus at least two times per week to receive whole-group instruction, individualized tutoring, and educational planning support. This is not an on-line only study program.
SBAS GED Prep students who complete their exams are invited to celebrate their success at a formal graduation ceremony in June. Family and friends are encouraged to join this heartwarming event.
GED Test and Certification General Information
The GED Testing program is a national test that has been used for over 65 years to measure and evaluate the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue higher education, obtain specific jobs, gain promotions, and achieve personal goals. A GED certificate is considered the equivalent of a high school diploma and is recognized throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico. It is offered in both English and Spanish. Students with special needs may request accommodations in advance.
