GED Preparation and Testing

Prepare for your GED exams at SBAS

The smart way to learn, study and prepare to pass the GED!

Our free GED test preparation program focuses on skill development that helps you study for the official GED tests with instructional videos, practice lessons, workshops, and direct instruction.  Assessments are provided indicating student readiness to pass each of the GED subject area exams: Reasoning Through Language Arts (RLA), Mathematics Reasoning, Science, and Social Studies. Through the Essential Education/GED Academy online curriculum, students are free to study at times that are convenient for them, day or night, wherever an internet connection is available.
Students are expected to study a minimum of 5 hours per week online.  In addition, students will attend the GED Preparation Lab on-site at the SBAS campus at least two times per week to receive whole-group instruction, individualized tutoring, and educational planning support. This is not an on-line only study program.
Graduation Celebration
SBAS GED Prep students who complete their exams are invited to celebrate their success at a formal graduation ceremony in June.   Family and friends are encouraged to join this heartwarming event.
